it is that time of the year where family comes first and you need photographs :-) whether your family is just you, your wife/husband/kids, or you and your friends, or maybe just you! whatever your family looks like, this is the time where most people start planning their christmas photos & cards.
that said, i will be shooting a small handful of fun family/friends shoots over the last week of november and the first week of december. so, if you are still trying to figure out what to do for that photo op, drop me a line. here's the scoop:
***all shoots must be scheduled somewhere within washington metro area between the dates of november 24th & december 7th [excluding thanksgiving & morning of black friday]
***your shoot will probably take about 45 minutes
***plan on having fun!
***within a week of your shoot, all of the images will be available to be viewed online, and you will choose one image, for your christmas card, that i will re-touch and then deliver to you via email [the hi-resolution file]
***the remainder of the images will remain online if you wish to order prints and share with friends and family OR you may purchase all of the digital files [to be delivered on disc] for an additional $50
***plan on having fun! [the important part]
cost: $150
***again, due to the timely nature of the christmas[card] season, please inquire as soon as possible by sending an email to wale@walephotos.com or by clicking on the contact link above.***
had some computer issues last night, so i wasn't able to put up some posts. anyway, i'll do that later on today.
just wanted to say how much i love wedding pre-parties, as opposed to just engagement dinners. "francisowa" got married a couple of weekends ago, and had a great party with friends the night before the wedding. i think it's a good way for people to mingle and get the wedding weekend started, especially for out of towners.
ummm....well, as long as the wedding is sometime in the afternoon ;-) i should have a few more pictures posted later on.
also, pictures from their wedding will be posted later this week.
(p.s., for photographers: this was taken at ISO 1600, with no flash. someone happened to take a picture at the same moment. power of DSLR and shooting in RAW).
just editing some photos from a photoshoot at the studio last saturday. details and photos coming soon.

Umm Wale..I'm looking at these pics wondering ...being jealous as to why I wasn't/couldn't be there.
It's all good though..
awesome photos!
(11.13.08 @ 04:36 PM)lovely photographs, as always:) This looks like it must have been fun! I love how you always try different angles in your photographs, and with this set it's cool how you play around with black and white and sepia tones. I'm taking notes too!!
(11.15.08 @ 04:23 AM)it's a word usually loosely used with photographers nowadays. i try as much as possible to suit my photographs in a journalistic kinda way. really, that's why i got into photography. to simply tell stories.
anyway, one of the ways i draw my photography inspiration is by looking through newspapers (and news magazines). my friend shared on her blog a series of photos from the NY times. Click here to check them out. just another way i drew inspiration from this whole election.
lol....i feel silly...i just saw the photo credit at the bottom of the picture...(and the New York Times logo at the top left corner should have been a dead giveaway for me!!!!)
(11.08.08 @ 09:47 AM)no worries. i'll take out the other comment. i WISH i took this pic.
