yes, indeedy! believe it or not. starting september 1st, i'll be posting everyday, straight for 30 days. don't believe me? wait and see!

just so i post up a picture, here's one from lola's wedding last weekend in stockholm. i was actually a guest. doesn't mean i can't whip out my camera every once in a while ;-). more pictures coming soon.

free portraits for artists!

yup. i'm taking a limited number of portraits for artists, at zero commission. the catch is quite simple- must already be a musician or an actor/comedian (and not just starting out); and the location must be in the D.C. metropolitan area (unless i'll be in your area, then we can schedule something around that time). the portraits could be during your performance, on location or in my studio.

what the portrait session includes-
*phone/in person meeting to determine type of shoot
*one look (i.e., no outfit changes)
*all low resolution images (for web use)
*your choice of one high resolution, retouched image (for print)
*disk with all images (high and low resolution images) can be purchased for only $50!
*if you elect for me to cover your live performance, concert, recording, etc., you would have to arrange for a pass if necessary.

if interested, please send an email or use the contact form above. include a link to your website, myspace page, facebook, etc., for proof of artistic identity.

all request must be placed no later than august 16th, 2009. as stated earlier, i'm only doing a limited number so first come first serve. and sessions can be booked till december 20th, 2009.

Are groups eligible? Yes! Bands, choirs, etc.
Where is your studio? In SW Washington, DC. just expanded :-)

i have to head out now, but wanted to share a preview of N&N's engagement session :-). another fun couple! we had so much fun walking around the national harbor right after we met at my studio to take some shots. i totally can't wait for their wedding in september.

lola and urban engaged

i got the honor of photographing lola and urban a few weeks ago. we drove a long way to take the pictures in the hot sun, but it was well worth it. lola and urban are both world travelers, and quite the creative couple (in writing, painting & photography). i wish i could've travelled to nigeria with them for the traditional ceremony.

i absolutely can't wait for the white wedding in sweden this august.

working hard!

wedding (and all out party) season is here. so it's getting harder to post. or i might just be procrastinating. or just concentrating on my clients. or all of the above.

ok, enough excuses. i have some posts lined up for next week. and at the same time trying to get my website up and running.

but tomorrow, i'm going out taking pictures at the park. and hoping some friends will join me. should be a good time. holla if you're interested. drinks and/or food afterward.

so i don't leave without a picture, here's one from a fashion shoot i did a few weeks ago.

a couple of weeks back, i took some pictures of this fun, loving couple. we had loads of fun walking around the fairly new popular spot, washington national harbor (it's become a popular spot for engagement session). here are a few pictures. can't wait for the wedding in september.

modupe and muyiwa

May 23, 2009 // weddings

last month, i shot modupe and muyiwa's wedding in silver spring, md. it rained all day, up until the ceremony was about to start. glad everything worked out.

make up on modupe was done by i love your glow, and the wedding was organized by Posh Events.
