"igwe" has become one of the most popular songs in africa, thanks to the nigerian musical group called midnight crew. it's rare for a christian group to have one of the most popular songd in nigeria, let alone africa.
i had the pleasure of covering their concert at jesus house dc a couple of months ago, and had a great time. above is a picture of the group members along with the mc, and the rest of the folks that helped out with logistics. click here for a few of the pictures set to their popular song, "igwe." enjoy!!
the mc of the event was a comedian by the name of jedi (also from nigeria).
this was actually posted today, 9/11/09 :-)
in march, my church (jesus house dc-- in silver spring, md) asked me to photograph the month long event going on. it was a lot of fun and definitely inspirational. i felt blessed attending each of the events, and already can't wait for next year's.
enjoy some of the pictures from each of the event by clicking here for the slideshow. i randomly selected about 200 pictures out of almost 2,500.
for jesus house members and guests that attended biazo this year, i'll post more information tomorrow, 5-19-09, on how to download your picture for practically free. enjoy!!!

well, i've always wished i could be a comedian- something about getting paid to tell the truth. but i guess you have to be funny. i'm not that funny. but my friend dave siegel is hilarious. which made it very difficult to take pictures during his performance on sunday at the dc improv. half my shots were blurry since i couldn't stay still and use flash
.
i'll post up some more pictures later this week. check out his websites http://www.davesiegel.com/ or http://www.myspace.com/siegelstandup
looka pretty nice
(02.23.09 @ 11:33 AM)Wale,
I would go as far as to say, that you're only just a bit funny...sometimes.
hey, just telling the truth.
(03.06.09 @ 01:09 PM)i was invited to take pictures by the university of maryland's robert smith's school of business last saturday, february 9th, at their annual "monte carlo night." it took place at the galleria at lafayette center in washington, dc. some gambling, good food, and dancing...it was a blast!
my friends had a surprise 60th birthday party for their mom a couple of weeks ago. they spent months making sure everything went well, and making sure their mom gets surprised. and boy was she surprised. family and friends from all over the world, literally, came down to take part in this surprise. shows you how wonderful this young lady is :-)
here's a preview of what happened that night:
